Arti et Amicitiae

In 2015 artists society Arti et Amicitiae celebrated its 175 year existence. To commemorate this anniversary, Arti member Barbara Broekman was asked to design a carpet for the staircase in the main hall.

My Town, a celebration of diversity

My Town celebrates the cultural diversity of Amsterdam. The 40 metres long carpet was meant to be a temporary project in 2012. Since this was a great succes, the Amsterdam Museum decided to install a permanent, long lasting version of the carpet in 2016. During opening hours, visitors can walk in freely.

On view daily between 10.00 and 17.00 hrs
